Exhaust Seal Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the catalytic converter (3). Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement (L26 - 3.8L) (Service and Repair)Catalytic Converter Replacement (LS4 - 5.3L) (Service and Repair) .
2. If equipped with regular production option (RPO) L26 - 3.8L, remove and discard the exhaust manifold pipe gasket (1).




3. If equipped with RPO LS4 - 5.3L, remove and discard the exhaust manifold pipe gasket (1).




4. Remove and discard the catalytic converter to muffler gasket (2).



Installation Procedure





1. Install a NEW catalytic converter to muffler gasket (2).




2. If equipped with RPO LS4 - 5.3L, install a NEW exhaust manifold pipe gasket (1).




3. If equipped with RPO L26 - 3.8L, install a NEW exhaust manifold pipe gasket (1).
4. Remove the catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement (L26 - 3.8L) (Service and Repair)Catalytic Converter Replacement (LS4 - 5.3L) (Service and Repair) .
