Instrument Panel Trim Pad Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) upper trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the I/P outer trim covers. Refer to Instrument Panel Outer Trim Cover Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Remove the I/P compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement (Service and Repair).
4. Remove the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement (Service and Repair).
5. Remove the cluster trim bezel assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement (Service and Repair).
6. Remove the cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement (Service and Repair).
7. Remove the I/P center trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Center Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).
8. Remove the HVAC control module. Refer to HVAC Control Module Replacement (HVAC - Manual).
9. Remove the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement (Radio Replacement).
10. Remove the ignition switch wire harness connectors. Refer to Ignition and Start Switch Replacement (Service and Repair).
11. Remove the park lock cable at the ignition switch. Refer to Park Lock Cable Replacement (4T45-E - Automatic Transmission).
12. Remove the accessory switch assembly. Refer to Accessory Switch Replacement (Service and Repair).




13. Remove the I/P trim pad screws.




14. Remove the I/P pad.
15. Remove the ignition switch from the I/P pad. Refer to Ignition and Start Switch Replacement (Service and Repair).

Installation Procedure

1. Install the ignition switch from the I/P pad. Refer to Ignition and Start Switch Replacement (Service and Repair).




2. Install the I/P pad.





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

3. Tighten the I/P trim pad screws.

Tighten the screws to 2.5 Nm (22 lb in).

4. Install the park lock cable at the ignition switch. Refer to Park Lock Cable Replacement (4T45-E - Automatic Transmission).
5. Install the ignition switch wire harness connectors. Refer to Ignition and Start Switch Replacement (Service and Repair).
6. Install the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement (Radio Replacement).
7. Install the HVAC control module. Refer to HVAC Control Module Replacement (HVAC - Manual).
8. Install the accessory switch assembly. Refer to Accessory Switch Replacement (Service and Repair).
9. Install the I/P center trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Center Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).
10. Install the cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement (Service and Repair).
11. Install the cluster trim bezel assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement (Service and Repair).
12. Install the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement (Service and Repair).
13. Install the I/P compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement (Service and Repair).
14. Install the I/P outer trim covers. Refer to Instrument Panel Outer Trim Cover Replacement (Service and Repair).
15. Install the I/P upper trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).
