Turbocharger Shaft Endplay

1. Install suitable dial gauge and holder.
2. Set dial gauge on end of turbine wheel shaft.
3. Press rotor shaft against dial gauge and note reading.
4. Press rotor shaft in opposite direction and note reading.
5. Difference between two readings is endplay, which should not exceed .006 inch on 944 Turbo models, or .013 inch on 911 Turbo models.
