To eliminate radio interference from secondary ignition system, resistor type spark plugs have been installed in production as of:

December 20, 1983 Engine no. 63E02294

Note Standard plugs were installed in production from Engine no. 64E03810 to 64E04622

Resistor type plugs:
Bosch WR7DC
Beru 14R7DU
Champion RN7YC

These spark plugs can be installed on earlier produced vehicles, however only the Champion version is currently available as a spare part; part no. ZVP 120 074C
