NOTE: Check for associated Technical Service Bulletins (TSB's) prior to starting the job.

1. Perform "Initial Test Drive". Testing and Inspection

2. Check ignition timing and engine vacuum (Initial Checks). Service and Repair

3. Disconnect the battery and place a fender cover over the radiator (Initial Preparations). Fundamentals and Basics

4. Pre-position crankshaft to #1 TDC compression. Fundamentals and Basics

5. Remove timing belt. Service and Repair

6. Inspect cam/crank seals, water pump, and tensioner pulleys (Pre-Installation Inspection). Testing and Inspection

7. Install timing belt. Service and Repair

8. Reconnect battery.

9. Start engine, check the following:
- Ignition timing. Ignition Timing
- Engine vacuum. Fundamentals and Basics
- Abnormal noises/vibrations from timing belt cover. Testing and Inspection

10. Perform "After Repairs Test Drive". Testing and Inspection
