Knock Sensor: Service and Repair

NOTE: Knock sensors are fragile. Use care when handling, sensor crystal will be damaged if dropped on a hard surface.

1. Loosen and remove cruise control cable hold-down on intake manifold.
2. Disconnect #3 cylinder spark plug connector.
3. Unscrew knock sensor and lift out.
4. Disconnect electrical connector.
5. Reverse procedure to install, using a new original style bolt without washer.

Torque sensor to 14 ft.lb (20 Nm)
