Test Point 10 - Temperature Sensor II (Engine)

1. Disconnect temperature sensor II connector (upper plug of three in plug plate, left front corner of engine compartment).
2. Connect ohmmeter across sensor terminals and measure resistance. Resistance should be:

0°C (32°F) 4.4K - 6.8K ohms
15 - 30°C (59 - 86°F) 1.4K - 3.6K ohms
40°C (104°F) 1.0K - 1.3K ohms
80°C (176°F) 250 - 390 ohms
100°C (212°F) 160 - 210 ohms

3. Replace sensor if correct resistance values are not obtained.
