Blower Motor: Service and Repair


1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove splash guard and drain coolant.
3. Remove steering wheel and steering column switch.
4. Remove instrument cluster frame.
5. Remove radio housing.
6. Remove A/C knee guard or shelf, if equipped.
7. Remove radio.
8. Remove control switch and blower knobs, then the heater control assembly frame.
9. Remove instrument cluster.
10. Disconnect electrical connector from control switch and remove switch.
11. Disconnect electrical connectors from center console, then remove center console.
12. Remove radio speaker mask and speakers, then the instrument panel center.
13. Remove left and right A pillar covers.
14. Remove instrument panel from left and right sides.
15. Remove instrument panel from heater housing assembly.
16. Disconnect air hoses and remove instrument panel.
17. Remove pulse transmitter plug holder and position aside.
18. Disconnect heater valve control cable and remove heater valve.
19. Press out plastic button on blower cover, then disconnect seal on body and remove cover.
20. Remove flap housing (box) assembly.
21. Disconnect electrical connector, remove blower assembly attaching bolts, then the blower motor.
22. Reverse procedure to install.
