924 & 944 Models
1. Peel back air flow sensor connector protective sleeve while leaving connector connected. Connect suitable voltmeter between terminal 9 on back of plug and ground.
2. Turn ignition On, then check voltage. Voltage should be more than 8 volts.
3. Remove air cleaner, then connect voltmeter between air flow sensor terminal 7 and ground. Voltage should be 150 - 250 millivolts.
4. Using suitable soft tool working through filter intake opening, push air flow sensor open to full throttle position. Voltage recorded in step 3 should rise above 8 volts over test range. Release air flow sensor, the plate must not stick and it should return to closed position automatically.
5. To check temperature sensor I, disconnect air flow sensor plug, then using suitable ohmmeter measure resistance across terminals 6 and 22 (outer terminals) of air flow sensor. Resistance should be 1,450 - 3,300 ohms.
