Power Supply to Control Unit or Fuel Pump Check

Control Unit
1. With ignition Off, disconnect multiple pin plug from DME ECU.
2. Turn ignition On. Using suitable voltmeter, measure voltage between terminals 5 and 35 and 5 and 18 Fig. 1. Battery voltage should exist.
3. If battery voltage does not exist, check fuel pump relay, 9 pin connector above brake booster and wiring.



Fuel Pump
1. Check fuse 2 in auxiliary fuse box.
2. Check fuel pump relay.
3. Connect battery voltage to terminal 4 of 9 pin connector above brake booster, or jump terminals 30 and 87b of fuel pump relay socket.
4. Fuel pump should operate. If not, check fuel pump.
