Distributor: Service and Repair
These engines do not use a conventional
distributor. Instead, the distributor rotor is driven directly from the camshaft. The only purpose the
distributor cap and rotor serve is to deliver secondary voltage.
Ignition timing and advance are controlled by the Digital Motor Electronics (DME) computer.
