Fluid - A/T: Service and Repair

1. Start engine, allow to reach normal operating temperature.
2. Position vehicle on level surface.
3. With engine Off, raise and support vehicle.
4. Remove pan drain plug, then drain into suitable container.
5. To drain torque converter, turn crankshaft until converter drain plug is visible and may be removed.
6. Install drain plugs, then pump most of the fluid into oil pan.
7. With selector lever in P position, start engine and allow to idle.
8. Check and fill to fluid level.
9. Operate service brake and set selector lever to each position, ensuring smooth operation.
