Electronic Brake Control Module: Service and Repair

This component is non-serviceable and must be replaced as a unit.
On 944 models, the electronic control unit is located in the passenger side footwell. On 911 Carrera models, the combination ABS and lock control unit is located in the luggage compartment at the right front corner.

1. Disengage retaining spring (spring lock), then disconnect plug from electrical control unit.
2. Unscrew retaining nuts, then remove electronic control unit from holder.
3. Reverse procedure to install.
