Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Service and Repair

1. Loosen clamp on air intake cowl.
2. Remove screws from air cleaner and remove upper shell with air filter.
3. Remove mounting screws between lower air cleaner section and air flow sensor. If necessary apply up to 300°F (150°C) with hot air blower to loosen screws. Do not point heat gun directly at potentiometer cover.
4. Remove air flow meter.
5. Reverse procedure to install, using thread locking compound on mounting screws and torquing to 7 ft.lbs (10 Nm).
