Test Point 13 - Hall Signal

CODE 1_34 - HALL SIGNAL
1. Disconnect hall sensor electrical connector.
2. Using testing jumpers connect harness to sensor connector.
3. Connect voltmeter across jumper terminals 1 and 3.
4. Turn ignition on.

Approx. 12 volts, proceed to step 6.
Not approx. 12 volts, proceed to next step.

5. Check sensor wiring, if wiring is OK, replace DME control unit. End of test.
6. Connect oscilloscope to terminal 1 and 2, crank or start engine.
7. A clean square wave should be visible on the oscilloscope. If waveform is not present replace sensor. If waveform is present, system normal.
