Remove and Install


1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then remove distributor cap.

Cylinder #1 TDC:





2. Set cylinder No. 1 on TDC, compression stroke.

Distributor Alignment:





3. Ensure center of rotor tip is aligned with notch in top of distributor housing.
4. Remove rotor and dust cap.
5. Disconnect electrical connections and vacuum hoses.
6. Remove hold-down bolt or nut and distributor.
7. Reverse procedure to install.




NOTE: When installing distributor make sure that rotor tip aligns with cylinder No. 1 mark on distributor housing.
