Engine Temperature Sensor: Description and Operation

The engine temperature sensor is held in the cylinder head of cylinder no. 3. It has two electric connections, so that there is no negative influence on resistance behavior and therefore the fuel/air mixture in case of, for example, corrosion on the threads of the temperature sensor (temperature sensor without potential).

Special Tool 9291 and a 14 mm wrench are used for installation of the sensor. In addition, the threads of the temperature sensor must be coated with a suitable lubricating paste.
