Ignition Switch: Service and Repair

1. Disable airbag system as described under Service and Repair/Maintenance Procedures/Airbag System Disarming.
2. Disconnect battery ground cable.
3. Remove ignition switch cover.
4. Drill out shear bolts and remove retaining screw.
5. Pull switch down far enough to allow removal of electrical connectors.
6. Remove ignition/starter switch retaining screws, then the switch.
7. Reverse procedure to install, tightening shear bolts until heads break off.
