Cruise Control Servo Cable: Adjustments

Checking and Adjusting Tie Rod For Cruise Control


Note: The throttle must be fully closed and the accelerator cable must be load-free.


1. Remove fresh air blower and rear heater blower.
2. Separate the plug connections in the left front corner of the engine compartment, slacken and remove the vacuum hoses and the holder.

View With Engine Removed:

3. Hold the suction pipes of cyl. 1-3 from the left and the right and slacken lock nut (AIF5.5). Use an NF8 wrench for locking.







4. Adjust operating rod; in off-position, the distance between the take-up part of the operating rod and the upper stopper must be 1 mm. Re-lock hexagon nut.
