Instrument Cluster Coding - PSM to ABS

Properly coding the instrument cluster for model year 2000 Carrera 2s

Information:
The instrument cluster for a M.Y. 2000 Carrera 2 arrives preprogrammed for cars with PSM. If the cluster is installed in a non-PSM vehicle, you have to reprogram the instrument cluster accordingly.

There is a software error in PST2 version 9.1 which won't allow proper coding of the instrument cluster. PAG has released version 9.2 to PCNA to correct this problem.

If replacement of the instrument cluster is necessary, please contact the Technical Hot line, and they will send you version 9.2 to load on your PST2. Since version 9.2 is a full software update, it will not be necessary to reload version 9.1.

Work Procedure:
With PST2 connected and turned on:

1. Select "996" vehicle type.

2. After control module search is complete select "Instrument cluster".

3. Select "Modify coding".

4. Select "Brake fluid switch".

5. Select "ABS" and confirm by pressing F8.

6. Turn ignition key to "off" position and remove key. Insert key, start vehicle and check brake fluid level and ABS light function.

Note:
Step 6 is very important to make sure the coding is installed.
