Changing The Engine Oil And Oil Filter

Requirement: Engine at operating temperature (70-90°C oil temperature)





1. Undo the oil drain plug on the oil sump and drain off the engine oil. Clean the oil drain plug. Always replace the sealing ring.
- Tightening torque: 50 Nm (37 ft lb)





3. Undo the oil filter with the special tool 9204.

2 - Filter insert
3 - Sealing ring

4. Remove the oil filter element.
- Tightening torques:
Oil drain plug on oil pan 50 Nm (37 ft lb)
Oil filter on crankcase 25 ±1 Nm (18 + 1 ft lb)

The oil change quantity (with filter change) is approx. 8.25 litre.
The oil change quantity (without filter change) is approx. 7.75 litre.
