Concern:
Parking brake switch inoperative.
Convertible top cannot be opened or closed.

Information:
In some cases, the spring for the electrical contact in the parking brake switch is too low. This could cause the convertible top to stop functioning. In case of complaints, a new version parking brake switch should be installed

The new switch was installed in production as of 7-17-2000, from Vehicle Identification Numbers (VIN) 98 51S 62 0086 and 98 41S 66 0088
