Crankshaft/crankcase

Note!
The fastening screw of the belt pulley must always be replaced.








Cylinder, cylinder head and camshaft housing

Note!
The fastening screws of the inlet camshafts and the outlet camshafts must always be replaced.





Cylinder head tightening sequence





Camshaft, saddles tightening and sequence
Tighten bearing saddles: uniformly tighten the bearing saddle screws in increments of 1/2 turn each in the order specified.
Tightening torque: 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.).





Camshaft, thrust bearing cover tightening
Tightening torque: 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.).








Exhaust manifold torque and sequence
Position the nine fastening screws on the cylinder head by hand and tighten in two stages. First stage to 25 Nm (18 ftlb.). Second stage to 33 Nm (24 ftlb.). Tighten in accordance with the sequence shown.


Coolant pump
Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.).
