NOTE: The temperature of the air from the "center" dashboard vents must lie within the prescribed tolerance range within 5 minutes, depending on the ambient temperature.

General test prerequisites
- Close doors, windows and sliding roof
- Insert temperature probe into center vent
- Measure ambient temperature
- Open all dashboard vents
- Switch ignition on
- Press recirculating-air button
- Set temperature control to maximum cooling
- Switch fresh-air blower to stage 4
- Start engine
- Operate air condition while idling
- Set engine speed to 2000 rpm (start of time measurement)

If the prescribed nominal values are not reached, the cooling system must be checked for leaks and repaired.
