Camshaft Position Sensor: Locations
Plug-in Hall-effect sensors are installed in the cylinder head at the 3rd cylinder of cylinder bank 1-3 and the 4th cylinder of bank 4-6 in order to detect the ignition TDC of the 1st cylinder. The hall signal is produced by a rotor fastened on the inlet camshafts of banks 1-3 and 4-6.
