Technical values







Preliminary work

1. Remove cushion carrier for front backrest. Refer to Removing and installing cushion carrier for front backrest

Removing control valve for lumbar support adjustment

Taking off foam part







1. Remove foam part -1- at the headrest.







Removing control valve for lumbar support adjustment

1. Release connector -1- on control valve for lumbar support adjustment -3- ( -arrow a- ) and pull it off -arrow B-.







2. Pull off the three hoses -2- on the control valve for lumbar support adjustment -3- ( -arrows C- ).
3. Unscrew fastening screw -4- and pull control valve for lumbar support adjustment -3- (with the clip -5- ) off the backrest frame -arrow D-.

Installing control valve for lumbar support adjustment

1. Push control valve for lumbar support adjustment -3- (with the clip -5- ) onto the backrest frame -arrow A- and screw down with the fastening screw -4-. Tightening torque: 4 Nm (3 ftlb.)







INFORMATION:
- Observe the installation position of the hoses.
- Push on the blue hose onto the connection marked B and push on the red hose onto the connection marked R.

2. Push on the three hoses -2- onto the control valve for lumbar support adjustment -3- ( -arrows B- ).
3. Push connector -1- onto the control valve for lumbar support adjustment -3- ( -arrow C- ) until it engages securely.

Checking seat following removal

1. Connect the removed seat to the vehicle's wiring harness via test cable 9745 and test cable 9745/1.
2. Connect electric plug to control module trim panel. Refer to Removing and installing control module trim panel
3. Connect the battery. Refer to Work instructions after disconnecting the battery
4. Switch on ignition.
5. Carry out a function check on the seat components.
6. Switch off ignition after function test and disconnect battery.
7. Disconnect test cable 9745 and test cable 9745/1.

Fitting foam part

INFORMATION: Observe the installation position of the hoses.

Make sure that the hoses are not pinched. Insert hoses exactly into the cut-outs on the foam part.

1. Fit foam part -1- at the headrest.

Reworking

1. Install cushion carrier for front backrest. Refer to Removing and installing cushion carrier for front backrest
