Synchronization



3581 - Synchronization







1st and 2nd gear are engaged with triple cone synchronization. Friction linings made of carbon are used to ensure a long service life and high synchronization performance.







3rd to 6th gear and reverse gear are engaged with double cone synchronization. Synchronization rings with sintered linings are used. The advantages of multiple synchronization are the reduced wear and the assurance that the shifting forces remain low with the installed shift throw reduction feature.
