Troubleshooting with no control module connected

NOTE: Some fault codes are generated in the immobiliser control module and KESSY control module that are registered and stored in the control module, but can be read out only via menu item Special functions (during selection of the vehicle type) because the ignition cannot be switched on once these fault codes have been stored. In detail, the codes are as follows: Fault code 0003, 0087, 0166, 0171, 0172, 0173, 0174, 0175, 0176, 0177, 0178, 0185, 0288, 0576, 0668 and 1176.

If the ignition can no longer be switched on, work through the following steps:
