Removing And Installing Secondary Air Pump
Preliminary work
1. Remove front right wheel.
2. Remove front right wheel liner.
Removing secondary air pump
1. Pull cable plug off the secondary air pump. To do this, hook an angled piece of wire into the catch and pull off the cable plug -1-.
2. Unscrew two fastening screws in the rubber body mounts -1-. This makes more room for removal.
NOTE: To remove the plastic lines on the secondary air pump, reach to the left around the secondary air pump from the wheel housing and disconnect the connections.
3. Pull off plastic lines on the secondary air pump. To do this, press the two fluted areas on the connections and pull them off -arrows -.
4. Remove the three fastening nuts on the secondary air pump -2-. Twist secondary air pump leading to the headlight out of the bracket.
Installing secondary air pump
1. Insert the secondary air pump into the bracket and screw on the three fastening nuts -2-. Tightening torque: 7.5 ftlb.
NOTE: To fit the plastic lines on the secondary air pump, reach to the left around the secondary air pump from the wheel housing and insert the connections. The connections must engage with an audible and perceptible click.
2. Attach plastic lines to the secondary air pump -arrows -.
3. Push on cable plug.
4. Fit the two fastening screws into the rubber body mounts -1-. Tightening torque: 7.5 ftlb.
Subsequent work
1. Install the front right wheel housing liner.
2. Install front right wheel.
