Convertible-Top Service Position

Move convertible top to service position







NOTE: Operation of the hood in service position
- Risk of damage to hood frame and rear window
- Do not move the hood to the "Close" position by electrical means when in service position.

1. Switch on ignition.
2. Unlock convertible top and raise convertible-top compartment lid to its top position.







3. Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.
4. Disengage strip on cloth covering -1- in a downward direction out of the combination holder -2- at the left and right.







5. Raise convertible top -1- slightly at the rear -Arrow A-. Press the ball socket of the left and right tension cables -2- out of the ball head of the adjusting piece -3- (-Arrow B-).







6. Pull Velcro fastener of the retaining strap -1- off the tension bow and engage it on the centring journal -2- at the front.







Ending convertible top service position

1. Disengage retaining strap -1- at the front at the centring journal -2- and fasten Velcro fastener of retaining strap to the tension bow.







2. Swivel convertible top -1- down slightly at the rear (-Arrow A-). Pull tension cables -2- at the left and right through the cloth covering -4- (-Arrow B-) and press ball socket in at the adjusting piece -3- (-Arrow C-).







3. Engage strip on cloth covering -1- upwards into the combination holder -2- at the left and right.







4. Switch on ignition and move convertible top electrically to its original position.
5. Switch off the ignition.
