Variable Valve Timing: Description and Operation

VarioCam Plus







The Cayman uses the VarioCam Plus system already known from the 911 Carrera vehicles.
The adjustment angle of the rotary-vane actuator is 40° crank angle.
The valve lift is 3.6 mm for the small lift and 9.35 mm for the large lift.
The exhaust valve lift is 9.2 mm.
