8 - Heating/Air ConditioningGeneral - Boxster/S (987)
The Boxster/S (987) features an air conditioning system with combined passenger compartment filter (active carbon and pollen filter) as standard. Automatic climate control is also optionally available. Both the air conditioning system and automatic climate control are already in use in the new sports car generations and offer a high level of functionality.
The two systems ensure uniform, practically draught-free and quiet ventilation of the passenger compartment. The operating principle and mode of use are described in detail in the Service Information Technik brochures for the 911 Carrera/Carrera S (997), model year 2005,and Boxster/Boxster S (987), model year 2005.
General - Cayman/S (987)
The Cayman/S (987) use the same air conditioning system as available on the Boxster/S series.
