Removing And Installing Starter
Technical values
Preliminary work
1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Remove air cleaner housing.
3. Remove resonance tube.
Removing starter
WARNING:
Live components
- Risk of electric shock
- Remove electric charge from component.
- Make sure it does not switch on again.
- Check that there is no electric charge.
- Cover adjacent live parts.
1. Remove cap.
2. Screw off the two fastening nuts -1, 2- and remove the lines.
3. Unscrew the two fastening screws -3- for the starter and remove the starter.
Installing starter
1. Fit the starter.
2. Screw in the two fastening screws -3- for the starter.
- Tightening torque: 45 Nm (33 ftlb.)
3. Fit the lines and screw on the two fastening nuts -1, 2-.
- Tightening torque: 18 Nm (13 ftlb.)
- Tightening torque: 6.5 Nm (5.0 ftlb.)
4. Fit the cap.
Subsequent work
1. Install resonance tube.
2. Install air cleaner housing.
3. Connect the battery.
