1. Remove rear wheels. -> 44051900 Removing and installing wheel - section on "Removing" 44051900 Removing and installing wheel.
2. Remove upper part of heat shield. -> 261219 Removing and installing heat shield - section on "Removing".

Removing ignition coils

Information

Specifications for wrench sizes (a/f specifications) for screw heads are described as follows:

- Torx screws: (E.) for external Torx, (T.) for internal Torx.

- Hexagon-head bolts (internal and external hexagon): Wrench size (a/f)

1. Pull off cable plug.
1.1. Hold the connector and press it firmly onto the locking lug. Slide the connector up at the same time.
2. Unscrew internal Torx screw (E10, M6 x 16) -1-.
3. Pull ignition coil -2- out of the spark plug recess.

Installing ignition coils

1. Insert ignition coil into spark plug recess.
2. Fit and tighten internal Torx screw (E10, M6 x 16).
=> Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)
3. Connect cable plug for ignition coil.
3.1. Make sure that it latches into place correctly and is seated securely.

Subsequent work

1. Install upper parts of heat shields. -> 261219 Removing and installing heat shield - section on "Installing"
2. Mount rear wheels. -> 44051900 Removing and installing wheel - section on "Installing" 44051900 Removing and installing wheel
