Diagnosis information - DME (DFI)

Valve lift control, cylinder in small lift

NOTE:
- Diagnosis detects uneven running for the specified cylinder.
- Uneven running is calculated from the expected and actual crankshaft acceleration due to combustion.
- Uneven running is interpreted as a misfire or valve lift fault, depending on type.

NOTE:
P1359 = Cylinder 1
P1360 = Cylinder 6
P1361 = Cylinder 2
P1362 = Cylinder 4
P1363 = Cylinder 3
P1364 = Cylinder 5

Diagnostic conditions
- Full-load acceleration

Possible fault causes
- Poor fuel quality
- Fuel injector faulty or borderline
(opens too late / not long enough / not enough)
- Valve lifter of the specified cylinder faulty
(intake valve of the specified cylinder gets stuck during the small lift)
