Information

No values (data) are read or written when replacing the rear-differential lock control unit.

The rear-differential lock control unit is only removed and installed again.

The rear-differential lock control unit is not listed in PIWIS Tester II 9818.

1. Partially detach side trim panel for rear left luggage compartment and fold the panel forwards. -> 700319 Removing and installing side trim panel for rear luggage compartment - section on "Removing" Service and Repair

NOTICE

Voltage peaks

- Risk of damage to load or to the control unit

-> Remove the ignition key and switch off load before disconnecting or removing load.





Installation position

1. Release, open and disengage the retaining bar.

2. Lift the control unit from the holder and pull it down and out of the holder.
3. Release latch on connector -a- and pull off connector.

4. Remove the control unit.

Installing control unit for rear-differential lock

1. Push electric connector onto the control unit for rear-differential lock and lock connector.
2. Insert control unit for rear-differential lock into the holder and secure using the retaining bar.
