Engine Oil Specifications

Oil Quality: Only oils approved by Porsche and listed in the current approval lists are to be used for the specified vehicle types.

Viscosity Class:
For all temperature ranges SAE 0W-40
For temperature range warmer than -13° F (-25° C) SAE 5W-40
For temperature range warmer than -13° F (-25° C) SAE 5W-50

Miscibility:
All engine oils approved by Porsche can be mixed provided they are of the same Porsche oil specification.

However, since every brand of oil has a specially adapted unique composition, the same brand and type of oil should be used for topping up between oil change intervals if possible.
