Wiper Switch: Service and Repair

The lighting, turn signal and windshield wiper switch is removed as an assembly.
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove steering wheel, then remove both steering column supports.
3. Remove switch assembly retaining bolt, then disconnect switch electrical connectors.
4. Pull switch upward and remove from vehicle.
5. The turn signal and windshield wiper switch are serviced as an assembly. The light switch may be removed from the turn signal/wiper switch assembly by removing retaining pin using a rod .150 inch (3.8 mm) in diameter to press out pin, Fig. 4.
