Timing Cover: Service and Repair


1. Remove engine from vehicle.
2. Drain oil.
3. Remove cylinder head as previously described.
4. Install sleeve holder Mot. 521-01 or equivalent.
5. Remove crankshaft pulley, using flywheel locking tool Mot. 582 or equivalent.
6. Loosen oil pan bolts, if necessary.
7. Remove timing cover attaching bolts and remove cover.
8. Reverse procedure to install, using new gasket.
