Control Arm Bushing: Service and Repair

1. Remove lower control arm.
2. Press one bushing out, using suitable press and spacer. Bushings must be replaced one at a time so they are properly spaced in relation to the center line of the suspension arm.
3. Lubricate and install new bushing. Install so that distance between bushings is 5.77-5.81 inches for Alliance, Encore and GTA, or 7.126 for Fuego and Sportwagon.
4. Install second bushing following same procedure as for the first.
