Evaporator Core: Service and Repair



On models equipped with airbag system, disarm airbag system, refer to Air Bags and Seat Belts/Air Bags (Supplemental Restraint Systems)/Service and Repair.

1 Remove the servo pump.

2 Discharge the refrigerant from the system.

3 Disconnect the refrigerant hose from the outlet branch of the evaporator and the expansion valve. Use restraining tools.

4 Remove the four bolts retaining the evaporator and withdraw the evaporator.

5 Refit in the reverse order.

- Top up with refrigeration oil and lubricate the pipe couplings with refrigeration oil.

- Top up the system with the refrigerant.

Note: After opening the system, always plug the connections to exclude moisture. Don't remove the plugs until just before the connections are made.
