Oxygen Sensor, Replace

Before installing oxygen sensor, coat threads and gaskets with an anti-seize compound. Use caution when handling sensor as unit can be easily damaged. The joint between oxygen sensor and exhaust manifold must be gas tight. Check that other joints between cylinder head and muffler are tight.
1. Unscrew sensor from exhaust manifold.
2. Disconnect lead from sensor to control unit.
3. Reverse procedure to install. Torque sensor to 29 ft. lbs. (40 Nm).
4. To reset sensor mileage counter, remove padding from under instrument panel and depress button on counter.
