Rest Position

Fig. 6 Air flow sensor plate rest position:

1. With the ignition in the off position, check the position of the air flow sensor plate. The upper edge of the plate should be even with the bottom edge of the air venturi or a maximum of 0.02 in. (0.5 mm) below the edge of the venturi, Fig. 6. The measurement should be taken from the middle of the lever.
2. The rest position can be adjusted by bending the clip, A, Fig. 6, on the underside of the air flow sensor. In order to do this, the air flow sensor must be removed.
