Ignition Switch: Service and Repair

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Important : Do not disconnect the battery cable while the engine is running as this could seriously damage the generator (alternator).

Pull out the steering wheel as far as it will go.

Remove the steering column bearing bracket cowls (4 screws).

Undo the two socket cap screws on the bottom.
5
Withdraw the
ignition switch and unplug the connector.
