Coolant: Service and Repair

CHANGING THE COOLANT
1. Loosen the expansion tank pressure cap and raise the car.
2. Remove the center air deflector, place a drip tray under the radiator and open the radiator drain plug.
3. Install the drain plug and tighten it by hand. Install the center air deflector and lower the car.
4. Mix equal parts of Saab Original Coolant, or equivalent and water in a suitable container.

NOTE: This is important in order to achieve sufficient cooling performance in hot climates.

5. Top up the coolant in the expansion tank.
6. Install the pressure cap and run the engine until warm. Check the system for leaks and top up as necessary.
