Crankshaft Position Timing Ring: Service and Repair

Field rotor





To remove

1 Fit special tool 83 93 993 to lock the flywheel.

2 Remove the right-hand front wing liner.

3 Compress the belt tensioner and lock it using yoke 83 95 488.

4 Remove the A/C belt.

5 Undo the nut and bolt on the pulley.

6 Remove the generator belt.

7 Remove the pulley.

Important: This will be easier if it is carefully heated.

8 Remove the field rotor.


To fit

Fit in reverse order.

Belt pulley tightening torque 190 Nm (140 lbf ft)
