W/Automatic Transmission

The replacement ASR ECU must be recalibrated.
1. Move driver's seat to fully forward position with backrest also angled forward.
2. Disconnect battery ground cable, then loosen two clips and fold carpet up under seat.
3. Remove protecting plate attaching screws. Position plate aside.
4. Remove control unit from under spring tensioned bracket, then the connector housing from ECU. Release connector housing by pressing down on locking tab.
5. Reverse procedure to install.
6. Program correct motor type with ISAT as follows:
a. On manual transmission models, enter ISAT command code 977. ISAT should now display 802.3TS.
b. On automatic transmission models, enter ISAT command code 97A. ISAT should now display 802.3TA.
7. Recalibrate ASR system.
