Cruise Control: Testing and Inspection

1. With ignition switch and selector in On position, check the following:
a. On models with manual transmission, fuse No. 8 is satisfactory and power is supplied to fuse.
b. On all models, fuse No. 13 is satisfactory and power is supplied to fuse.
c. On models with automatic transmission, fuse 76 is satisfactory and power is supplied to fuse.
d. Power is supplied to terminal 4 of selector and terminal 9 of the control unit.
e. That there is voltage at terminal 1 of speed transmitter.
2. With ignition switch On and selector in Set position, check voltage at terminal 2 of selector and at terminal 3 of control unit.
3. With ignition switch On and selector in Resume position, check voltage at terminals 1 and 3 of selector and at terminals 4 and 9 of control unit.
4. Test vacuum pump by grounding pin 3 and applying voltage to pin 2.
5. Test vacuum valve by grounding pin 3 and applying voltage to pin 1.
