Crankshaft Position Sensor
Crankshaft Position Sensor:
A signal from the
crankshaft position sensor with information about the position and speed of the crankshaft is applied to pin 40 of the ECM. This signal is in the form of a square wave and its voltage is about 12 V when the Hall-effect sensor is screened by the field rotor and 0 V when any of the slots in the field rotor passes the Hall-effect sensor.
