Ignition Timing

Optimum
ignition timing is calculated in the control module on the basis of the following information:

engine load (Tq)

engine speed
The throttle position (at idle) also provides the basic
ignition timing and, where appropriate, a knocking tendency in any of the cylinders will naturally also influence the control module's calculation of optimum ignition timing.
